If you have a My Crush book (CTMH) or a Smash book or have made your own (like I did in this post from a couple of years ago) then you will want to watch this video from CTMH. In it, there are a number of fantastic examples of using cuts from the Cricut Artbooking cartridge to add more interest to your 'scrapbooking on the go' pages.
The My Crush books and assortments can be found here.

Cloud Nine Promotion Ends Soon!
National Papercrafting Month is almost over and so is the Cloud Nine cardmaking promotion!
You can get an exclusive Cloud Nine cardmaking kit for $15 (retail value $46) with a qualifying purchase of $35 or more (excluding tax and shipping) during January in celebration of National Papercrafting Month. Make 10 adorable cards (2 each of 5 designs) with funky messages to put any recipient on cloud nine! You can add one cardmaking kit for every $35 in your order*. Please visit here to start shopping.
The kit includes these two new fun tapes which are not available to purchase until the new Idea Book/Catalog is released on February 1, 2014. The kit also comes with full instructions to make the cards pictured above. I decided to change things up a bit and made the cards pictured below, instead.
I am always in need of more Thank You cards, so I made these with the same supplies used in the kit. The only additional item needed was a marker to color in the stars and some of the lettering. I had two kits so I had double of all of the supplies.
Yesterday's post had pictures and a video of a 2-page 12 x 12 layout that I made using some of the leftover papers from this kit. It doesn't have to be used only for card making. :-)
On the card pictured above, I covered Lagoon cardstock with the washi tape and distressed the edges of most of the layers. Additional die cuts can be made using the Artiste Cricut cartridge. The sizes to cut each shape are listed on the cling sheet for the stamps.

How to Assemble a Scrapbook Layout with Hidden Photos and Journaling
Sometimes I want to put more photos on a layout than what will easily and aesthetically fit. When that happens, I usually try to hide some of them behind other pictures. In this video, I show the planning and execution of a 2-page layout that uses 17 photographs and some hidden journaling.
The still photos of the layout have terrible glares/blurriness because of the page protectors. However, I wanted to share them to show the little booklets that I made by just folding a piece of patterned paper into thirds. These booklets are the bases for most of the photos and also provide a fun interactive element to the layout.
4" x 6" Memory Protectors can be found here.
A variety of sizes of Memory Protectors are here.
If you have any questions, please leave me a comment or email me at StampinBev@msn.com.

Designed Decor Frame Kit
CTMH's Designed Decor Frame Kit |
I love this frame from CTMH. It can be purchased separately or as a kit. The kit includes a B-sized stamp set, the cute mini wooden clothespins, some bakers twine, and kraft paper die cut shapes - pictured above.
Right now it is hanging in my office. I can display cards that I have made or ones received from family and friends, project ideas, samples of materials for future projects, inspirational quotes, pictures of my kids, etc. I might have to get another one for the kitchen. In the kitchen, I would hang recipes, grocery lists, notes to the family, reminders to myself, etc.
Here are some additional ideas from CTMH:

Ombre Effect on Paper and Artbooking Made Easy: Love, Love, Love
Christine from CTMH shows two cute mini books in this video that were made with the Cricut Artbooking cartridge. But, I think the best part of the video is the two techniques using reinkers on paper. Learn how to create cool paint splotches and the ombre effect with just water, a sponge dauber and reinker.

Hidden Journaling and Hidden Photographs
Hi!
It has been a long time since I have made any videos and today I have two to share with you! The second will be in another blog post later today.
This video shows many examples of ways that I've 'hidden' elements in scrapbook layouts. Most of the layouts are several years old and my style of scrapbooking has changed over the years. It was fun for me to see this evolution.
The Memory Protector Flip Flaps shown in the video are available here. The True Fit Folios are here.
I will be posting a tutorial video in a few weeks that walks through the design process for a layout that includes interactive elements. If you have any suggestions or specific requests, please let me know.
As always, if you have any questions, please leave a comment or email me at StampinBev@msn.com.
