There are three different ways that I have used ink on the cardstock to create an aged/weathered/textured appearance. First, I used stamps with dye based ink and stamped several different images on top of each other. Oftentimes I will use two different colors of ink. The second method is to apply pigment reinker onto the cardstock. And the third is to use both of the previous techniques, stamping on top of the pigment reinker after it has thoroughly dried or been heat set.
Here is the original post with the photographs showing the process to alter the cardstock for a vintage layout.
