New Tutorial - Making Faux Textured Cardstock

A couple of months ago I stated that I would share a video showing the techniques I used to change plain cardstock into something that appeared like textured cardstock.  It has taken me a bit longer than I expected, but here it finally is:

There are three different ways that I have used ink on the cardstock to create an aged/weathered/textured appearance.  First, I used stamps with dye based ink and stamped several different images on top of each other.  Oftentimes I will use two different colors of ink.  The second method is to apply pigment reinker onto the cardstock.  And the third is to use both of the previous techniques, stamping on top of the pigment reinker after it has thoroughly dried or been heat set.

Here is the original post with the photographs showing the process to alter the cardstock for a vintage layout.

Happiness Project

I was going to make a journal for my 21 year old dd to start her own “Happiness Project” and then realized that she may not want to be committed to a “Happiness” anything or even a “Project”….. so I made a journal for her to do with it as she wished.

Of course, being her mom, I still had to offer some advice about things she May want to consider including as she stared at the blank pages.
